Opportunities

Opportunities

The Village Church provides numerous opportunities for worship and for service.

We believe everything we do flows from and to worship. We were created to worship God! The Bible says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” In a blended service of hymns and worship choruses, our children, teens and adults come together to praise God through music.

Village Church Opportunities

Worship

We believe that everything we do flows from and to worship. The Bible says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!” We were created to worship God.

Worship brings us into the presence of God. It motivates us to love Him through ministry to those within the church body and others. As we minister, we experience God and His love and seek to worship Him more.

The Village Church is a singing church. In a blended service of hymns and worship choruses, children, teens and adults come together to praise God. The music we sing reinforces and affirms the Word of God being preached.

Our music ministry includes a Chancel Choir, youth ensemble, children’s choir, handbell choir and solo instrumentalists. Drama is often included to enhance worship. Both music and drama are a major part of our seasonal worship celebrations.

Faith-Based Senior Living and Worship

We believe that part of what makes our congregation special is the inclusion of our Christian senior living community members. Their experience and faith bring a fresh perspective that is cherished throughout our congregation.

We have at least 18 denominational backgrounds represented in our congregation at The Village Church. We strive to have a mixture of worship that both exalts God and lifts people into His presence.

Children's Ministry

At The Village Church, we create opportunities for children to connect with, serve and worship God.

In our unique congregation, children are connected with older adults as mentors, through our PAL ministry.

Children interact with their PAL in a variety of activities, both in group and individual settings. They are able to glean wisdom and learn practical truths from their PAL while gaining a greater appreciation for and understanding of older adults.

The PAL program is just one of the many benefits that come with having a faith-based senior living community integrated into our church.

The Village Church offers many opportunities for children to get involved. In addition to the PAL ministry, we offer Christian education classes every Sunday morning for children of all ages. On Sunday evenings, many of our children are involved in our exciting ALIVE! children’s ministry.

Music is another important aspect of The Village Church and we have been blessed with wonderful musicians. At an early age, we encourage children to get involved with music and drama through our Children’s Choir.

Missions

Supporting missions is a major part of who we are at The Village Church

As Christians, we are commanded in scripture to “go and make more disciples” of Christ. This can mean going across a hallway or to another country.

We’ve been blessed with many retired missionaries in our church fellowship who have inspired us and challenged us to reach beyond ourselves to minister the love of Jesus wherever He leads. We’ve been blessed to do this through short-term mission endeavors, outreach ministries such as Samaritan’s Purse and our own denominational efforts.

The Power of Faith-Based Senior Living

We believe that being closely connected to a faith-based senior living community allows us to fulfill our mission on a greater level. Everyone at The Village Church feels blessed to be surrounded by so many caring older adults. Faith-based senior living allows the residents to share their beliefs and experiences with the surrounding community.

Youth

For Parents

Our desire as a youth ministry is to come alongside parents as their children grow into young adults. We strive to introduce children to the person of Christ, making Him the Lord of their lives. We want to help instill in them the Fruit of the Spirit as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Children in our ministry also have the opportunity to learn from the experience of our Christian senior living members. Our faith-based senior living community offers countless opportunities for valuable mentorship.
